Fiona has dedicated her career to the care profession and has over 15 years' experience. Fiona started off her career working for Salford Royal Hospital and was soon promoted to Ward Sister. When Fiona opened Abbeycliffe in 2013 as the Registered Manager, she used her experience to transform the home into a friendly, family-run Residential Care Home that has since gained an excellent reputation. When the home became fully established, she appointed Hayley as the Registered Manager and pursued her new role as the Senior Manager. Fiona's responsibilities include auditing, human resources, recruitment and ensures compliance with laws and regulations (policies and procedures), etc.
Hayley has dedicated her career to the care profession and has over 30 years' experience in the industry. Hayley started off as a Care Assistant at our sister Care Home, Abbeywood, and through her determination and hard work, she began to climb the career ladder and gain valuable experience. Hayley came to Abbeycliffe as the Deputy Manager in 2014 and was soon appointed the Registered Managers role. Hayley has become a highly valued member of the company and has continued to achieve high standards for the home. She is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations within the home, including managing staff, promoting residents’ rights, ensuring that the quality of the service provided meets national care standards, and provide information, advice and support to residents, families and staff, etc.
Michelle has over 10 years’ experience in the care profession and has been with Abbeycliffe since 2015. Michelle started off as a Care Assistant, but it wasn’t long before she began to work her way up the career ladder and become our Deputy Manager at Abbeycliffe. Michelle’s hands-on approach to managing the floor, staff and residents are just some of the many attributes she brings to the home. Her main responsibilities include assisting the Registered Manager, Hayley, with all aspects of managing the home and will deputise in her absence. She is also responsible for maintaining and monitoring high quality care to the residents whilst also leading an effective team.
Whilst at University, Sonia worked at our sister Care Home, Abbeywood, as a Care Assistant and has over 5 years’ part-time experience in this role. Sonia supported her sister, Fiona (above), with the opening of Abbeycliffe in 2013 but it wasn’t until 2018 when she joined the family business full-time. Using her transferable skills and experience, Sonia has excelled in her role as the Business Manager and is now responsible for managing company budgets and forecasts whilst also looking for ways to improve the home generally. Sonia is also our Activities Co-ordinator and is now responsible for all upcoming activities and events.
